Fiver Friday Specials at Nutgrove Shopping Centre is to encourage locals and visitors to Nutgrove/Rathfarnham to spend a fiver (or more!) every Friday to help retailers and businesses kick off the weekend with a smile!  Nutgrove shops and businesses are there year round to offer advice and friendly service and the goods we need in the town. If we all help each other we can make this community initiative work and become proud of helping our local community.

Where did the idea all start? 

Nutgrove Shopping Centre is getting behind 'Fiver Friday' this Friday, July 1, and offering all our customers Fiver Friday Specials.

Fiver Friday is an initiative that began on RTÉ Radio One's Liveline when Liveline caller Mark Begg recently spoke to show host Joe Duffy about his new business and about how he hated to see small businesses like his struggling to keep up. He suggested the Fiver Friday campaign to encourage people to spend an extra €5 in local businesses to help give them a boost.

This Friday, July 1, people across the country are being urged to spend an extra €5 in local businesses to show their support. And to encourage people to spend their hard earned cash many local businesses are offering 'Fiver Friday Specials', including the shops here at Nutgrove Shopping Centre.
