Nutgrove Shopping Centre are delighted to announce the Winners of our 16th Annual Easter Art Competition, which is a real and special community event.
Each year we are astonished with the diversity of creative talent, which is obviously nurtured by caring teachers in the school environment. The challenge is to keep our children motivated through art and sport so they continue to contribute in a positive way to our community.
Judging this year’s competition was definitely the hardest task yet! The quality of the entries were so impressive that in our minds, you are all winners.
This competition is truly a win-win situation – for the children and teachers in the local schools who are the beneficiaries of the prizes, to proud parents, and to the wider community who enjoy the visual extravaganza suspended from the Centre Mall Ceiling.
In this year's competition we could see both individual and group work. Many of the pieces of work had a variety of skills in them such as construction, paint and fabric. Although Easter is over, these skills will remain with the children.
Thanks to the pupils, the teachers, classroom assistants, special needs assistants and parents for sharing their creative works with both us and visitors to Nutgrove.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD
We are delighted to announce that an additonal prize for this year's competition was awarded by the People's Vote - THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD.
The winning class was chosen by the public using an opinion poll via our website www.nutgroveshoppingcentre.ie;
The prize is sponsored by Giddy Studios, Grange Road Retail Park, opposite Marley Park.
The winning class (SCOIL NAITHI - RANG a 4.) will participate in a half day workshop in the pottery studio painting and firing their chosen pieces. All instruction and materials are included.
The Easter Entries are still on display here in Nutgrove Shopping Centre.
